When the Opera Crosses Over Into Academia: This is What Happens...

Ok...so you are probably thinking Ignorantics could never be a part of academia, right? WRONG! There are ignorantics in the classrooms on college campuses folks! YES! Professors!

Yesterday, one of my readers forwarded an email to me from her friend who was seeking a letter of support for "tenor". That's right...I said "tenor". He said, and I quote "Can you write a letter of support for me because I am going up for 'tenor' this year."


Typo ladies and gentlemen? or is he just an Ignorantic? I would love to hear from my tenured professors who read this Blog...what say you? Is this a typo?

You Are a Barbiturate Liar!

One of my readers just sent me a text stating that her friend's aunt was engaged in a heated debate with someone and called that person a "barbiturate liar"!

Did she mean "habitual liar"? Sure, she did but the aunt is an ignorantic and instead, drugs came to mind...not to mention the slight similarity in the sound of both words.....barbiturate.....habitual....

I think this one is going to be inducted into the Ignorantic Hall of Shame...it is just too much.

What Are "Insignificant Funds" Charges?

I know what you are thinking...you are probably saying to yourself "insignificant funds"? Really? Well, this ignorantic was going over her bank statement when she discovered that she had numerous "insufficient funds" charges on her account. In an attempt to get to the bottom of the issue, she shared this information with her daughter and told her why she thought the bank added "insignificant funds" charges to her account....and well, her daughter reluctantly turned her in to Ignorantics.

Tough love is hard pill to swallow. Ignorantics in the family is not uncommon. It happens in almost every family. If you have an ignorantic parent, your secret is safe with me. It helps to talk about it. Think of it as therapy. You won't be judged here. Besides, we never divulge the identity of our ignorantics or their renouncers....[sigh]
