Treating the "Cheerykey" Indian with RESPECT starts with spelling their NAME Right!

Last night, I received an email that stated that African Americans are not the only minority that is treated badly. The person went on to write "I feel sorry for the Cheerykey Indian because they were hear first and we took there land from them! Where's there 40 acres and mule?"

*sigh*

  1. I appreciate their sentiment and I cant seem to find it in me to blame them for their ignorance. Maybe they could have took the time to google the appropriate spelling, but learning about native history (including accurate spellings) isnt a priority nowadays-- in schools or in families.
